[[A man in a darksuit is talking to another in in a lighter suit.]]
Darksuit: Sorry I missed your lunch thing, I was at day care.
Darksuit: Time sorta SLIPS BY when I’m there. But it’s been good for me. RELAXING.

Lightsuit: Why were you at DAY CARE?
Darksuit: Uh, my mom DROPPED ME OFF in the morning?
Darksuit: Then she CAME BACK for me in the afternoon. That’s how day care works.

Darksuit: I recommend it to anyone. You lie on the floor, get read a story, play with Legos, have a snack… half hour nap in the afternoon…
Darksuit: They say napping is good for you, you know? I vouch for it. I feel HEALTHY after naptime. ENERGIZED.

[[Darksuit seems irritated at his friend’s incredulity.]]
Lightsuit: Isn’t day care mainly for… kids?
Darksuit: I guess if you want to WASTE it on someone who can’t APPRECIATE it

Applications open for Genius Northwest – an IRL gaming competition

Last year, I participated in Genius Northwest, a gaming competition inspired by the Korean gameshow The Genius and its ilk.

It’s a reality show without the cameras — a 3-day, all-inclusive weekend retreat structured around a series of challenges and puzzles, in which personalities and dealmaking matter as much as playing games.

It’s truly a remarkable thing. I came in dead last in the competition, but I still had a great time participating.

The event is held annually in the Pacific Northwest (hence the name) and applications are now open to participate in the 2026 competition!
