#917; The Longest Con

[[Man 1 has a cat in his lap]]
Cat: Purrrrrrr
Purrrrrr
Purrrrrr

[[Man 2 is standing nearby]]
Man 2: You know, that cat is quietly planning your demise.

Man 2: He’s a SOCIOPATH, playing on your sympathies, lulling you into a false sense of security, just WAITING for the perfect moment to STRIKE!

Man 1: Well, so long as this MASTER PLAN involves copious amounts of affection and snuggles for years on end
as it certainly appears to

Man 1: I’m willing to wait and see how it plays out

{{header: devious methods at WONDERMARK.COM}}
{{alt-text: ‘Someday I’ll have my revenge on the humans,’ thinks the cat, stretching into a sunbeam after a delicious free breakfast. ‘Someday.’}}

20 years ago (in photocomic form)

A young David Malki !, Steve Carey, and Ryan North, June 2006.

The computers tell me it was 20 years ago, June 9, 2006, that I arrived in New York for my first-ever comic convention as an exhibitor, MoCCA.

It was an important trip for me, a milestone in what would go on to become my career.

I wrote a little reminiscence on Patreon (free/unlocked) — including a first-since-then reprint of the photocomics I made at the time, documenting the trip!
