THESSALY: There’s so many things we THINK about that we’ll never take the chance to DO

THESSALY: Things that we do the same way every time for no reason other than habit. Why not TRY to do things in different ways? SEE what surprising things we learn?

THESSALY: Even if it’s not “BETTER”. Even if just to keep our senses from getting dulled. To remind ourselves that habit is a choice like any other.

BRANTFORD: And how do you feel about your choice to execute the experimental sunblock pattern known as “THE TIGER”?
THESSALY: I feel like a lot of useful lessons were learned, although I’m not sure I could list any

it's not that I really wanted to do it, I just wanted to HAVE done it, and you kinda have to go through the muddy water in between

The computers tell me it was 20 years ago, June 9, 2006, that I arrived in New York for my first-ever comic convention as an exhibitor, MoCCA.

It was an important trip for me, a milestone in what would go on to become my career.
