Jeff: Gax?
Gax: Jeff.
Jeff: Hey, uh, I don’t mean to be rude or anything, but can I ask you a silly question?
Gax: No silly questions, my false-brother. I am a curiosity ripe for inquisition.

Jeff: You’re a shapeshifter, right? You can assume any form?
Gax: Mmmyes.
Jeff: …So, are you actually wearing clothes? Or is it just your body assuming the shape of clothes?
Gax: Find out for yourself.

[[Jeff touches Gax’s trenchcoat.]]

[[The trenchcoat stretches and extends to cover Jeff’s arm.]]

[[Jeff yanks his arm free, but the flesh has already been dissolved from the bones.]]

20 years ago (in photocomic form)

A young David Malki !, Steve Carey, and Ryan North, June 2006.

The computers tell me it was 20 years ago, June 9, 2006, that I arrived in New York for my first-ever comic convention as an exhibitor, MoCCA.

It was an important trip for me, a milestone in what would go on to become my career.

I wrote a little reminiscence on Patreon (free/unlocked) — including a first-since-then reprint of the photocomics I made at the time, documenting the trip!
