PEMBURLINE: Did you see my message? It had some urgent questions in it!
GRONDELIA: Yes I did!
GRONDELIA: I read it right away. I saw there were SEVERAL things to address in detail. I thought about them a LOT for the rest of the day!
PEMBURLINE: Oh, did you respond already?
GRONDELIA: ...Not to your MESSAGE, no. However, I DID mentally determine how I WOULD respond. At that point, my mind sort of...closed the books on that task. That brings us to now.
PEMBURLINE: So you responded, to yourself, in your head. But not actually to ME.
GRONDELIA: RIGHT, exactly!
PEMBURLINE: THAT version... doesn't... help me?
GRONDELIA: Honestly? I ALSO find it unacceptable. I've issued my mind a written warning about its behavior but have also forgotten to send that

sorry for the lateness of this reply! I meant to respond back when I cared about this issue, but I ended up missing that narrow window, so it's been a real upstream slog
The computers tell me it was 20 years ago, June 9, 2006, that I arrived in New York for my first-ever comic convention as an exhibitor, MoCCA.
It was an important trip for me, a milestone in what would go on to become my career.
I wrote a little reminiscence on Patreon (free/unlocked) — including a first-since-then reprint of the photocomics I made at the time, documenting the trip!
