BILL: You know, I'm happy he's found a line of work he believes in...
BILL: Seems a lot of work to ME, but we all make our own choices as to the way we want to spend our life
BILL: Me, I work for a think tank tracking the growth of foreign petrodollars in Silicon Valley venture capital funds
BILL: Our dad could never really quite grasp what EITHER of us did for a living
I wish he had lived to see me get quoted in an article in Inc. magazine.
The computers tell me it was 20 years ago, June 9, 2006, that I arrived in New York for my first-ever comic convention as an exhibitor, MoCCA.
It was an important trip for me, a milestone in what would go on to become my career.
I wrote a little reminiscence on Patreon (free/unlocked) — including a first-since-then reprint of the photocomics I made at the time, documenting the trip!
