Gerald: I think it’s an anagram. ‘You’re wasting your life’ works out to ‘A Freeway: Our Noisy Guilt’ or possibly ‘Angularities! You Wry Foe.’
Reginald: It really is just Tic Tacs. Who cares about Tic Tacs! Honestly!

Gerald: To you it is just Tic Tacs. Breath mints, who cares? But to me, now, I care.

Gerald: It’s like realizing an acquaintance has a hidden side that’s really cool. He plays games with you and sends you on quests!
I respect Tic Tac as a company for building this sandbox to play in.

Gerald: Besides, ‘Urine Foils Your Getaway’!
Reginald: Is that an anagram or a threat

Applications open for Genius Northwest – an IRL gaming competition

Last year, I participated in Genius Northwest, a gaming competition inspired by the Korean gameshow The Genius and its ilk.

It’s a reality show without the cameras — a 3-day, all-inclusive weekend retreat structured around a series of challenges and puzzles, in which personalities and dealmaking matter as much as playing games.

It’s truly a remarkable thing. I came in dead last in the competition, but I still had a great time participating.

The event is held annually in the Pacific Northwest (hence the name) and applications are now open to participate in the 2026 competition!
