Comic Transcripts

There’s more good books, movies, and TV out there than I’ll EVER be able to get around to.

When I finally have time to browse and pick something out, what do I CHOOSE?
Something POPULAR, so I can be in on it?
Something CLASSIC, that I know is good?
Or something NEW AND DIFFERENT, taking a chance and hoping to strike gold?

Maybe I should just REVISIT one of my old favorites… but there’s SO much I’ve never even experienced ONCE!
I don’t know what to DO. I’m being left behind by culture. I can’t watch FAST enough — can’t read EVERYTHING — and every MINUTE that goes by it gets WORSE and WORSE!

Man: What’s Marie on about now?
Woman: She’s mad that her media consumption is insufficiently voracious.
Marie: All creativity worldwide needs to STOP until I can CATCH UP

{{header: glad you chose WONDERMARK.COM}}

{{alt-text: “her media consumption is insufficiently voracious”…nice. go ahead and blame the victim. SHEESH.}}

20 years ago (in photocomic form)

A young David Malki !, Steve Carey, and Ryan North, June 2006.

The computers tell me it was 20 years ago, June 9, 2006, that I arrived in New York for my first-ever comic convention as an exhibitor, MoCCA.

It was an important trip for me, a milestone in what would go on to become my career.

I wrote a little reminiscence on Patreon (free/unlocked) — including a first-since-then reprint of the photocomics I made at the time, documenting the trip!
