Comic Transcripts

[[Two men, GERANDIO and PIMLOCK, sit on a park bench]]

GERANDIO: You can BREAK UP with a musician, but it never really ENDS.
If you’re like me, you’ll spend the REST of your LIFE listening to EACH new song…
Wondering if she’s telling the WHOLE WORLD about ME. And MY faults.

GERANDIO: It’s AGONIZING! But I CAN’T STOP myself!
PIMLOCK: Heh heh, no risk of that here. My ex is actually a skywriting pilot.

GERANDIO: Oh, like that one up there?
PIMLOCK: Huh…that DOES kinda look like her plane…

[[Both men look up at the sky]]

PIMLOCK (narrowing his eyes): WOW. REAL mature, Melissa

20 years ago (in photocomic form)

A young David Malki !, Steve Carey, and Ryan North, June 2006.

The computers tell me it was 20 years ago, June 9, 2006, that I arrived in New York for my first-ever comic convention as an exhibitor, MoCCA.

It was an important trip for me, a milestone in what would go on to become my career.

I wrote a little reminiscence on Patreon (free/unlocked) — including a first-since-then reprint of the photocomics I made at the time, documenting the trip!
