Woman: Grandpa, get the problem-cellar prepped! Monday’s a-comin’!
Grandpa: Aw, YOU ALL ain’t seen a MONDAY!

Grandpa: Back in the war we had a Monday lasted a week and a while! An’ then a Tuesday twice as bad!
Grandpa: Nothin’ we could do but wait it out and pray!
Grandpa: Whole mess was probably Hitler’s doing. Though we never did find out for sure.

Grandpa: Folks say down in BELIZE there’s a Monday still goin’ started in 1981!
Grandpa: What’s this Monday? Couple of days? You’ll be fine.

Woman: It’s gonna HIT. We don’t have TIME!
Grandpa: Believe me. Once it DOES… YOU WILL.

20 years ago (in photocomic form)

The computers tell me it was 20 years ago, June 9, 2006, that I arrived in New York for my first-ever comic convention as an exhibitor, MoCCA.

It was an important trip for me, a milestone in what would go on to become my career.

I wrote a little reminiscence on Patreon (free/unlocked) — including a first-since-then reprint of the photocomics I made at the time, documenting the trip!
