[[ Man speaking to woman at desk ]]
Woman: I’m trying to fill in our family tree, but I can’t find a death date for your great-great-great-grandfather’s Uncle Hugo.
Woman: So frustrating! I’ve been through all the archives I can find, but there’s just too many gaps.

Man: Maybe he… isn’t dead.
Woman: He was born in 1751!

[[ Man speaking to elderly man in top hat ]]
Man: Should I tell her, or do you want to?
Uncle Hugo: I do not reveal myself to unbelievers

The computers tell me it was 20 years ago, June 9, 2006, that I arrived in New York for my first-ever comic convention as an exhibitor, MoCCA.

It was an important trip for me, a milestone in what would go on to become my career.
