You're lucky I didn't show you what IT'S running from
#751; The Beast in the Labyrinth

This is not a guest comic! East Coast weather has played havoc with the airlines, so a weekend trip to Massachusetts has unexpectedly turned into a week, and I’m still not at home where I can access my computer. Left without my database of weird images, my choices were to scour the web for something usable to make a comic…or do something a little more fun. I’m staying with Jeffrey Rowland at the moment, and while he doesn’t have shelves full of Victorian books like I do, he most certainly does have art supplies and a scanner. So I drew and colored this comic for you! I’m sure our regular players are fervently hoping that this mysterious new character doesn’t find his way back into the normal strips…but who knows?

Check out: Tabletop Deathmatch

The folks at Cards Against Humanity have just finished their new webseries, Tabletop Deathmatch! Here’s the first episode:

The whole series is 17 episodes long and if, like me, you’re interested in tabletop game design and would like to listen to knowledgeable people discuss it, I recommend giving the show a try!

I am saying so not ONLY because I am one of the playtesters in episode four :O

I'M THE KING OF CHICAGAH

Monocle Video Outtakes

One more thing about the Gentleman’s Monocles project I mentioned the other day!

Here is a behind the scenes/outtakes video:

If you want your own monocle(s), there are a few days left in the Kickstarter!

I thought it ended today but that’s because I…didn’t do math right? It actually ends Wednesday morning. I have no stake in this project, I’m just really proud of the video and think it’s a neat thing!

Gentleman’s Single-Use Monocles

Recently I was asked by fellow cartoonist Zach Weinersmith to help on a project!

He has created the Gentleman’s Single-Use Un-Lubricated Monocle:

FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY

I did the package design (the wrapper, above, and the box, below):

a full supply for a busy evening

And I also directed the Kickstarter promo video!

We made a silent film about a gentleman’s pressing need for monocular protection, with the assistance of 5 Second Films’ Ben Gigli, SMBC Theater’s James Ashby, and my own The Audience team member Rachel Parker. I’m super happy with it!

I've got my eye on you

You can get your own monocles on Kickstarter now. But hurry: the campaign ends on Monday Wednesday!
