– Whatcha thinking about? Be honest.
– Be honest?

– Cindy from the express lane at Ralph’s. Man, she is one stone cold super-fox.

– Sometimes I overstock my cart just to make her yell at me… Her cries of desperate futility are so hot.

– Close your eyes.
– I’m so glad you wanted to be honest and open with one another!

– I have a surprise for you.
– I hope it’s cake!

A young David Malki !, Steve Carey, and Ryan North, June 2006.

The computers tell me it was 20 years ago, June 9, 2006, that I arrived in New York for my first-ever comic convention as an exhibitor, MoCCA.

It was an important trip for me, a milestone in what would go on to become my career.
